IFI16 and lobular neoplasia: Considering the biological function of alpha/beta T-cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells, our GSEA and CIBERSORT results of high IFI16 expression enrichment during the adaptive immune response, alpha/beta T-cell activation, and monocyte and dendritic cell activated infiltration in the kidney suggest that renal IFI16 may be engaged in the local adaptive immune response in the patients with LN [47–49].
