These tau‐involved diseases are collectively referred to as tauopathies and include AD, primary age‐related tauopathy (PART), FTDP‐17, corticobasal degeneration (CBD), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), Pick's disease (PiD), argyrophilic grain disease (AGD), globular glial tauopathy (GGT) and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) [13, 14]. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
