Lactobacillus species intake, specifically L. brevis CD2 [16, 17], L. casei [14], and L. reuteri [22], as well as Streptococcus salivarius K12 [20], Bacillus clausiI UBBC − 07 spores [19] and Lactococcus lactis (AG013) [21] appear to be associated with a decrease in OM incidence and severity. This evidence concerns the gene CD2 and ocular melanoma.
