In our study, the role of microglial Netrin-1 in ischemic stroke was investigated, and we found that Netrin-1 improved the survival of microglia in hypoxia, possibly due to its binding to UNC5H, with UNC5a being the most important, which subsequently blocked the function of the freely released death domains of UNC5H. This evidence concerns the gene NTN1 and ischemic stroke.
