The CRP values further significantly correlated with immunological changes (marked increase of the pro-inflammatory biomarkers IL-1β, IL-6, MCP-1, with more pronounced changes in females than in male subjects) hematological abnormalities (increased WBC, neutrophilia, lymphopenia and eosinopenia with elevated NLR, PLR), hypercoagulation (increased D-Dimers, fibrinogen, and suPAR), and end-organ damage (high LDH, urea, AST). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is lymphopenia.
