Compared with the participants in the lower AIP group, the participants in the AIP Q4 group were more male, more Mexican American, more current or former smoker, more people with lower education levels, more obesity or central obesity, and had higher levels of BMI, WC, SBP, DBP, FPG, HbA1c, FSI, HOMA-IR, TC, ALT, GGT, Cr, UA and Hb (all P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and autoimmune pancreatitis.
