Significant lung tumor targetability wasattained in a lung tumor Xenograft model, with a recorded tumor growthinhibition rate of 76.6% in mice treated with CLA-coated PTX-SPIONs@HRH.The HRH peptide was shown to actively facilitate the direct targetingof VEGFRs expressed on lung tumors, and halted angiogenesis, resultingin the degeneration of neoplastic cells and subsequent tumor regression. In essence, CLA-coated PTX-SPIONs@HRH present a potentially viabletargeted nanomedicine for NSCLC management, with specific angiogenesistargeting and direct drug delivery at tumor sites. This evidence concerns the gene SELPLG and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
