Eight of the ICs (53.3%) had elevated Factor VIII, and four (26.7%) elevated von Willebrand factor levels; ten (66.7%) had hyperhomocysteinaemia (serum homocysteine > 20 μmol/L; mean: 33.48±17.89), and four (26.7%) had low serum iron, ferritin, and high iron-binding capacity in the absence of anaemia.
