To identify possible in vivo-applicable FSP1-specific inhibitors as potential future drugs to combat difficult-to-treat cancers, we carefully revalidated hit compounds from ~10,000 drug-like small molecule compounds (as described previously5) in terms of their potential for medicinal chemistry development, using cheminformatics tools17 for the prediction of physicochemical properties and drug-likeness. This evidence concerns the gene AIFM2 and cancer.
