The MTHFR (677) C > T gene polymorphism also affects circulating tHcy levels and plays an important role in predicting the risk of ischemic stroke (Huang et al. 2022).TS genetic variants have been reported in cancer therapeutics because of the participation of TS in DNA repair mechanisms (Ahn et al. 2018; Jeon et al. 2021; Silva et al. 2020; Han et al. 2018; Donner et al. 2019), then we supposed that the single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of TS is associated with the attack of stroke closely. This evidence concerns the gene TYMS and ischemic stroke.
