Venetoclax (VEN) is a potent, selective and oral inhibitor of BCL-2, which, in preclinical studies, demonstrated anti-AML and anti-LSC activity as a monotherapy as well as a synergistic effect in preclinical models of AML cells when combined with azacytidine [5,6,8,9]. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
