These types of alterations in oropharyngeal tumors showed high EGFR levels together with HPV16 E5 expression (p = 0.03) and also identified that high E5 levels are associated with recurrence-free survival (p = 0.02), although high EGFR levels correlate with decreased recurrence-free and overall survival (p < 0.001 and 0.006, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and neoplasm of oropharynx.
