The first TPPP-like protein, TPPP/p25 or TPPP1, was identified in mammalian brain [2,3,4] and its physiological significance is connected to the nervous system [8,9] as well as having a role in neurodegenerative disorders, as Parkinson’s disease and multiple system atrophy [10,11,12]. This evidence concerns the gene TPPP and multiple system atrophy.
