In ADs such as psoriasis, PMN releases NETs which contain self-DNA-LL-37 and self-RNA-LL-37 as immunostimulators that activate pDCs via TLRs to release inflammatory cytokine production, leading to inflammation and infiltration of immune cells such as dendritic cells, T-cells, and PMN neutrophils in psoriatic lesions. The gene discussed is CAMP; the disease is psoriasis.
