Thus, our results showed that by performing simultaneous measurements of S100B and MIA concentrations in blood, we obtained a significant positive strong correlation between the two parameters in stages III (r = 0.677, p < 0.001, Figure 4a) and IV (r = 0.662, p < 0.001, Figure 4b) of melanoma patients, while in stages I and II no significant correlation was observed. This evidence concerns the gene S100B and melanoma.
