In the case of SLE, we observed that anti-RNP70 positivity compared to anti-U1-RNP negativity was associated with multiple hematologic aberrations, as reflected by more of the subjects fulfilling the hematologic disorder ACR criterion and having lower counts of leukocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils, monocytes and basophils, as well as lower hemoglobin concentrations. The gene discussed is U1; the disease is hematologic disorder.
