To investigate which of the 15 tested biochemical parameters (FPG, 2h-PG, HbA1c, insulin, C-peptide, HOMA-IR, total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG, hsCRP, VEGF, IL-10, adiponectin and leptin) showed the highest discriminant value in identifying the risk of obesity, we used the ROC (Relative Operating Characteristic) curve analysis. This evidence concerns the gene LEP and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
