Through a non-clinical test, bvPLA2 (group III sPLA2) has been shown to activate Tregs and promote the production of IL-10, which helps inhibit the differentiation of helper T1, T2, and Th17 cells and destruction of nerve cells by microglia (Figure 1); these processes were confirmed to be neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease accompanied by inflammatory reactions [8,9,10]. Here, PLA2G2A is linked to neurodegenerative disease.
