Further, we determined that a ‘panel’ of seven genes (C16orf78, C16orf86, C16orf96, C19orf18, C20orf144, C22orf42 and C3orf62) out of 100 genes make a decisive contribution since their exclusion from analysis leads to a significant decrease in prognostic significance of remaining 93 genes in PAAD or UCEC (p-value > 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene C16orf86 and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
