GATA3 and Parkinson disease: While there were no robust associations found between GATA3 expression levels and motor symptoms (Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale; UPDRS Part III) or cognitive impairment (Montreal Cognitive Assessment test; MoCA), we observed that GATA3 was negatively associated with the non-motor aspects of experiences of daily living (nM-EDL) as assessed by the UPDRS Part I score (coefficient [95% CI] = −0.117 [−0.21 to −0.02], p = 0.01).
