We also examined these inflammatory markers p-NFκB, TNF-α, and IL-1β by western blotting, and the results showed an increased expression of these markers in the striatum and SNpc of the MPTP-injected mice, while treatment with Trolox decreased the expression of these inflammatory markers in the PD mouse striatum and SNpc (Figure 6), suggesting that Trolox has a potent and effective role against MPTP-induced neuroinflammation. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Parkinson disease.
