Corroborating with these data, OVX + E2 mice displayed reduced hepatic JNK, IKK, and NFκB phosphorylation (Figure 6D–G) compared with vehicle-treated OVX mice, suggesting that estradiol has a potential protective effect against WD-induced NASH in female mice.
