Although the tumour expression of PD-L1 was present in 26/60 cases and did not correlate with outcomes, the authors showed that there was a positive correlation between recurrence-free/overall survival and the number of CD3+, CD4+, and CD8+, along with a negative correlation with the number of PD1+ T-lymphocytes in peritumoural distribution. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is neoplasm.
