As reviewed by Montazersaheb et al., cytokines involved in the COVID-19 immunopathogenesis include the Interleukin (IL)-1 family, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17, interferon-gamma (INF γ)-inducible protein 10 (IP-10), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) (a more proper official term, TNF, will be used from now on [25]), among many others [26]. The gene discussed is IL17A; the disease is COVID-19.
