The most prominent downregulation of metabolizing enzymes was associated with alcoholic liver disease (CYP1A2, CYP2C8, CYP2D6, CYP2E1, CYP3A4, UGT2B7) and primary biliary cholangitis (CYP1A1, CYP2B6, CYP2C8, CYP2E1, CYP3A4). This evidence concerns the gene CYP2C8 and biliary liver cirrhosis.
