ALB and Hyperbilirubinemia: Ceftriaxone, with a protein binding rate of 85–95% [101] and a daily dosage of 50 mg/kg/day, should be avoided or significantly minimized in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia [120,122,123], due to a significant competitive interaction of ceftriaxone with bilirubin–albumin binding in neonates.
