Similarly, proliferating neuroblasts (DCX+/Ki67+) were significantly reduced in the GBS-infected mice, as compared with the control saline-injected mice (number of cells per section; 4.55 ± 0.33 in saline group vs. 3.4 ± 0.32 in GBS group; n = 8 mice per group; p = 0.027; Figure 3e,f). Here, DCX is linked to Guillain-Barre syndrome.
