In the immunoblot experiment using materials pulled down from the C6 glioma cell cytosol fraction and anti-Syt-1 IgG in a Ca2+-dependent manner, a single positive band was detected at 40 kDa, corresponding to p40 Syt-1, which is deficient of the membrane-spanning domain of p65 Syt-1 [42].
