Regarding the use of a specific anti-TNF-alpha agent (Etanercept, Infliximab, Adalimumab), some differences were observed between the groups as follows: In the RA group, Etanercept-treated patients saw the best improvement in tortuosity, Infliximab showed the most significant effect on dilated capillaries and both Adalimumab and Etanercept resulted in the improvement of neoangiogenesis. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
