We have observed a significant positive association between the consumption of tetracycline (J01A, Pearson p: 0.007, OR p: 0.005, Kruskal–Wallis p: 0.034), narrow-spectrum, beta-lactamase-resistant penicillin (J01CF, Pearson p: 0.077, OR p: 0.021, Kruskal–Wallis: 0.152 /nonsignificant/), and the prevalence of DS in 30 European countries. The gene discussed is LACTB; the disease is Dravet syndrome.
