Overexpression of SOX1 could inhibit cell proliferation, invasion, and tumor formation in most cancer types, such as NPC [8], hepatocellular carcinoma [9], cervical cancer [10], lung cancer [11], gastric cancer [12], breast cancer [13] and cholangiocarcinoma [14] (Table 1).
