Our present data have shown for the first time that DDIT4 knockdown promotes the expression of CPT1A at the protein level and reduces phosphorylation of ACC1 (phosphorylation deactivates the enzyme) following aspirin treatment in MCF-7 BC cells and lowers the phosphorylation of ACC1 in MDA-MB-468 cells. The gene discussed is DDIT4; the disease is breast cancer.
