Going one step forward, Tu et al. recently employed gap-enhanced nanoparticles (GeNPs) as ultrasensitive SERS nanotags to design a paper-based immunoassay for the simultaneous quantification of three myocardial infarction biomarkers: cardiac troponin I (cTnI), copeptin, and heart-type fatty acid-binding protein (h-FABP) [66].
