(2018) showed that in TRPM7‐deficient mice and RAW 264.7 cells, lipopolysaccharide (LPS), or bacterial infection promotes reloading of the Piezo1‐toll‐like receptor 4 (TLR4) complex to remodel F‐actin and promote phagocytosis by macrophages, whereas knockdown of Piezo1 inhibits these responses. This evidence concerns the gene PIEZO1 and bacterial infectious disease.
