Other researchers also found that MDS macrophages exhibited more M2‐related characteristics,30 especially in patients with high‐risk MDS,31 corroborating the conclusion that patients with high CD68 expression levels had a worse prognosis in the mRNA expression cohort (GSE12417)17 (Figure 2C, HR = 2.1, p = 0.032). This evidence concerns the gene CD68 and myelodysplastic syndrome.
