The increased concentrations of soluble tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor II (TNFR2), chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 10 (CXCL10), and interleukins (i.e., IL-6, IL-7 and IL-17)[5] in the serum have been discovered in AMD patients. Here, CXCL10 is linked to age-related macular degeneration.
