Adiponectin, Leptin, Resistin, Interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, IL-10, tumoral necrosis factor (TNF), soluble receptor of TNF (sTNFr)-1 and sTNFr-2 have been reported as potential inflammatory biomarkers associated with the diagnosis of Sarcopenia, and an imbalance between pro- and anti-inflammatory cytocines was associated with loss of mass and muscle function and locomotor disabilities10–13.
