ALB and COVID-19: Compared to the control group, the patients with COVID-19 had high levels of liver enzymes (ALT and AST), bilirubin, and numerous elevated levels of creatinine, urea, Na, and Cl, while levels of K and albumin were lowered in the infected group compared to the control group (Table 2). Furthermore, a comparison between the infected and the control group (Table 2) revealed that the concentration of liver enzymes was higher significantly in COVID-19 patients when compared to the control group (P<0.001).
