GLP1R and intracranial hypertension: GLP-1R agonists have been shown to inhibit Na + K + ATPase-dependent secretion of cerebrospinal fluid at the choroid plexus (Botfield et al., 2017), and the GLP-1R agonist exenatide has shown preliminary effectiveness for treating intracranial hypertension through this mechanism (Mitchell et al., 2023).
