Ovarian cancer cells expressed CD24 could achieve the immune evasion through interacting with the receptor called sialic-acid-binding Ig-like lectin 10 (Siglec-10 has been reported to interact with the highly sialylated form of CD24), which is expressed by tumor associated macrophages (TAM) (Figure 1). The gene discussed is SIGLEC10; the disease is ovarian cancer.
