It was found that FoxO3 overexpression increased the sensitivity of colon cancer cells SW620 and HCT-8 to 5-FU and that the reversal of resistance of human colorectal cancer cells to 5-FU was demonstrated through the involvement of FoxO3 in the inhibition of the Nrf2/TR1 signaling pathway (149).
