Figures 7A, B show the top 15 most frequently mutated genes in these two cohorts. Notably, mutations in TTN, MUC16, ACVR2A, and DNAH5 were significantly lower in the low-expression group than in the high-expression group; this suggests that a higher PTPN20 expression level may be indicative of a lower tumor mutation burden (Figure 7C). Furthermore, compared to the wild-type subgroup, the TTN mutant subgroup was substantially related to a better prognosis, a higher TMB, and a better response to immune checkpoint blockade in solid tumors, according to a prior study (29, 30). The gene discussed is TTN; the disease is neoplasm.
