Consistent with the pooled siRNA results, two different siRNAs directed against Nup35, siRNA-2 and siRNA-3, reduced WT HIV-1 infection approximately 10-fold (Supplementary Fig. 4a) correlating with Nup35 depletion, whereas N74D HIV-1 and P90A HIV-1 were resistant to Nup35 depletion. This evidence concerns the gene NUP35 and HIV-1 infection.
