KDM1A and mastitis: KDM1A was also a key pro-inflammatory regulator of mastitis, as demonstrated by Wang et al. [153] These authors had found that a KDM1A inhibitor (GSK-KDM1A) could up-regulate histone H3K4me2 and H3K9me2, which inhibited the NF-κB signaling pathway to reduce the expression of inflammatory factors including TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8, thus reducing the inflammatory reaction in mammary epithelial cells.
