The aim of this study was to investigate whether women with SLE have higher LDG proportions and increased granulocyte activation in blood during pregnancy compared to after pregnancy, i.e., in the late postpartum period, and if these granulocyte-related variables are associated with IFNα protein levels, autoantibody profile and/or pregnancy duration in SLE. The gene discussed is IFNA2; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
