When comparing to patients in low ET-1 group, patients with ET-1 > 1.58 had a significantly higher rate of all-cause mortality (18.3% vs 5.7%, p < 0.0001), CV death (9.6% vs 3.2%, p < 0.0001), non-CV death (8.6% vs 2.6%, p < 0.0001) and SCD (4.4% vs 1.2%, p < 0.0001) (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene EDN1 and Schnyder corneal dystrophy.
