While P1’s facial dysmorphism, eczema, bacterial -Staphylococcus aureus- and fungal -Candida spp., Aspergillus fumigatus- pneumonias, poor wound healing, pneumatoceles, and scoliosis were suggestive of a Job’s-like syndrome; her short stature, skin manifestations, autoimmune cytopenia -Coombs+ autoimmune hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia-, celiac disease, autoimmune endocrinopathies -hypothyroidism-, and autoimmune hepatitis were suggestive of a STAT3 GOF-like phenotype. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and pneumonia.
