ERBB2 and triple-negative breast carcinoma: As a special type of breast cancer, which has had the highest incidence and mortality rates since 2020 (Sung et al., 2021), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is named for the three hormone receptors it lacks-estrogen receptor-negative (ER−), progesterone receptor-negative (PR−), and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 negative (HER2−) (Font-Clos et al., 2022), which restricts its interventions and therapeutic strategies.
