In this study, the treatment with BAY-117082 notably increased E-cadherin expression and significantly reduced the N-cadherin and MMP expression in the OSCC tumor samples; the same effects were also confirmed on the DM samples (for the lymph nodes, lung, and spleen), suggesting an innovative role of BAY-117082 as a modulator of the epithelial and mesenchymal transition process in oral cancer. Here, CDH1 is linked to lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
