Interestingly, many of the pathways identified here are consistent with pathways identified in previous studies of NLRX1, including PI3K-AKT, MAPK, EGFR, NF-κB, and IL-6 signaling, and these pathways are all important to the initiation and progression of pancreatic cancer (28, 30, 37, 38, 47–51). Here, NLRX1 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
